Young Parents Network is for young women and families in need of support and information. Services are available for parents of children aged 0-5 and for Moms and Dads aged 13-27. These services focus on having a healthy pregnancy, raising a healthy baby, and focus on early childhood growth and development.
Programs focus on a variety of areas that meet our communities’ most critical needs and offer family support.
Earn to Learn Incentive Program
Earn While You learn is an independent learning program for busy young women. If you don’t have time to attend a weekly class you can stop in at the FLC during normal business hours of 10 AM – 4:30PM. The curriculum covers many topics from pregnancy to safety to infant massage. You can also read books and pamphlets to get the information you need. You will earn “Baby Bucks” for each thing you do.
Earn to Learn Online
Let us help you get prepared for your baby by taking our Earn to Learn Online Modules. They are short informational videos on many topics that you need to know in order to have a happy, healthy baby and you can become a happy and successful parent!
To get started you need to call the Family Life Center (419-300-9756) OR email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. to get your password. Once you get your password you can start watching the videos. To get points for use in our Baby Boutique, you need to take the short quizzes after each video. Your scores will be sent to us and we will keep track of your Baby Bucks. When you want to spend your Baby Bucks just come into the Family Life Center Baby Boutique. Baby Bucks can be used for diapers, wipes, clothing, etc.

Our Baby Boutique is open to the public. However if you are on special services such as WIC ot Medicaid you earn an extra discount of 25%. There are many new and gently used items available such as: baby clothing, maternity clothing, diapers, blankets, books, toys, and strollers. We receive donations to the boutique daily so there are always plenty of new items available.
Young Mothers’ Club
Our young mothers’ club, St. Marys Moms meets monthly. Sometimes we discuss motherhood topics, other time we just to places with our kids. Whatever we do we have a great time.Please call for our next meeting time.
Car Seat Program
Our Arrive Alive Car Seat Program is for single moms and parents who are on special services and are in need of a car seat. If you meet the requirements you will be given a packet with a DVD of three short videos about Car Seat Safety. You will need to answer questions about the videos.. About 1 month before your baby is due we will order the car seat and then you will go to the St. Marys Police Department where a certified car seat specialist will install the car seat for the first time.
GED classes are offered at the Family Life Center for anyone seeking to get their GED or to brush up on various skills to prepare for college entrance tests. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. We provide individualized instruction for the skills that you need whether it is math, reading or even computer skills. All classes are free.
